How Much does it Cost to Paint Cabinets in Calgary?
Painting is a great alternative to replacing kitchen and bath cabinetry. Even entertainment centers, paneled walls and banister rails are given a face lift with properly executed finishes performed by an experienced spray technician.
Properly painted cabinetry truly does make your kitchen look new again. Especially in the case of lacquer finishes, the end result looks like you purchased it that way. As long as you like the style and shape of your cabinets and the structure is sound, painting is an excellent method to update and renew the style of your kitchen and other areas of your home.
Pricing for cabinets can be a little complicated, depending on product used, condition of the material being painted, the amount of area being masked off, and how big the project is. But home owners often like some sort of ball park number before investing the time in having us come out for a consultation. We have come up with a quick way to get a pretty accurate guesstimate for painting your cabinets.
If you simply count the number of doors and drawers in your kitchen and multiply that number by $120 - $130. The result is a pretty close estimate of how much your kitchen will cost to paint. The trend will be on the higher end of this price range per door for small projects and on the lower end for larger ones. Of course, that number isn’t just to paint the doors and drawers, it includes the exterior of all the boxes, end gables, etc. It also includes all the prep, removing doors for transport to the spray booth and re-installation. It even includes the cleanup at the end of the project.
For example, a set of kitchen cabinets with 30 doors and drawers would cost approximately $3600 - $3900. You don’t have to replace counters and tile (unless you want to!) and down time is minimal.
A brand-new looking kitchen for way less money in way less time. What a great idea!
